Gate Transportation Clerk – (Ontario, CA)

Location: Ontario, California Schedule: Friday-Sunday 4:00am-4:30pm Pay Rate: $21/hour Employment Type: Temporary ~ 12 weeks

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Gate Transportation Clerk to join our Ontario, CA operation. This weekend role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and enjoys coordinating with drivers and customers to ensure smooth delivery operations.

Recording drivers coming in OUTSIDE IN GUARD SHACK.

Key Responsibilities

• Process inbound/outbound drivers
• Verify SCAC, trailer numbers and correct paperwork are provided at time of arrival
• Verify Bill of Lading matches physical trailer upon departure
• Verify trailer accuracy by performing lot checks
• Reconcile previous and current day deliveries
• Compile and generate Bills of Lading (BOLs)
• Schedule and route drivers for deliveries
• Coordinate and direct delivery functions
• Bill deliveries using accounting software
• Generate invoices via freight payment systems
• Provide updates to Distribution Center (DC) on club status and requests
• Monitor driver progress throughout the shift
• Organize and file BOL's, invoices, and DOT documents
• Recap daily activities and communicate with the team
• Perform EDI entry and customer reporting
• Schedule appointments for deliveries, back-hauls, and vendor pickups
• Report monthly equipment mileage
• Reconcile IFTA mileage for compliance
• Call in roadside or other repair needs
• Cross-train in related functions as needed
