Now Hiring for Electronic Repair Technician in East side El Paso
Shift: 1st Shift
Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday (occasional overtime & Saturdays)
Pay: $15.00/hr +
We are currently seeking a full-time Electronics Repair Technician to join our growing team at our East El Paso facility.
This position is responsible for performing diagnostic and component-level repair on a variety of devices, including handheld devices, laptops, and network equipment. Previous computer hardware repair experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has an electronics degree or related hands-on electronics repair experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Connect, configure, and troubleshoot networking equipment
- Perform diagnostics, configuration, and component replacement on handheld devices
- Diagnose and repair basic laptop hardware failures
- Read and interpret schematics and logically trace failures on devices or printed circuit boards
- Perform basic solder rework tasks and operate rework equipment as trained
- Replace through-hole and surface mount components
- Work collaboratively with other Technicians and Engineers to resolve issues and drive improvements
- Cross-train on multiple products and positions as needed
- Communicate in a timely, tactful, and respectful manner with internal and external customers
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Education
- AA/AS in Electronics and/or
- 2 years post–high school trade school or military training in electronics
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
Experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of directly related electronics repair experience, depending on education level
Technical Skills & Abilities
- Experience soldering surface mount components (required)
- Fine-pitch or micro-soldering experience (preferred)
- Ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits to the component level
- Basic understanding of networking components and configurations
- Proficiency using electronic test equipment and in-house diagnostic software
- Ability to read and interpret technical guides, manuals, and schematics
- Mechanically inclined; comfortable using basic hand tools
- Effective use of Microsoft Office applications
