Job Opening: Customer Service Representative
Description
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for accurately entering and managing shipment, order, and inventory data within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment. This role supports daily operations by ensuring timely order processing, maintaining data accuracy, and providing basic customer service while keeping communication aligned between customers and warehouse teams. This is a full in-office position.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter and update customer orders, shipment details, and inventory information
Check order details to make sure everything is correct, including special requests
Create shipping documents and work orders
Prepare simple daily reports
Track shipments and provide updates to customers
Work with warehouse staff to support shipping and receiving
Provide the warehouse with needed paperwork to complete orders
Keep records of inventory, damages, and back-orders
Support billing by entering accurate customer and vendor information
Check and verify transportation invoices
Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams
Build good working relationships with vendors (like trucking companies)
Assist with basic office tasks like filing and data organization
Follow company procedures and guidelines
Report any issues to management when needed.
