A distribution facility is seeking a dependable Warehouse Agent to support daily freight handling, equipment operation, and documentation accuracy. This role requires strong attention to detail, safe work habits, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Agent 1 is responsible for loading and unloading materials using a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. The role requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment and identifying discrepancies in received loads against the manifest.

Essential Functions

Utilize the manifest to pull routes, stage freight, and assist Drivers with loading and unloading
Perform material handling tasks including picking, packing, scanning, kitting, and counting products
Ensure timeliness, packaging accuracy, and correct systems documentation
Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment
Maintain compliance with TSA and OSHA safety requirements
Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Competencies

Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink-wrap materials
Experience using an RF scan gun required
Previous forklift certification preferred
Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends
Strong reading comprehension and ability to follow instructions
Ability to work well with others in a team environment
Basic MS Office and data entry skills preferred
High attention to detail
Ability to lift 50+ lbs unassisted

Experience

1+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
Verifiable 1+ years operating a reach truck and sit-down counterbalance forklift

Physical Requirements

Standing and walking for extended periods
Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, bending, and overhead lifting
Regular lifting/moving of up to 50 lbs
Use of pallet jacks and forklifts
Regular use of phone, PC, and reading/writing shipping documents
