Job Opening: Accounting Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, motivated, and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, cash applications, inventory management, and ERP systems, particularly SAP Business One. This role requires a highly organized individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Functions

• Process and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) transactions.
• Apply customer payments and perform daily cash application activities.
• Conduct collections and follow up on outstanding customer balances.
• Enter and maintain Purchase Orders (POs) accurately.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Utilize SAP Business One for accounting transactions, reporting, and data management.
• Prepare reports and perform analysis using advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Support the accounting team with additional administrative and financial tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum experience in:
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable
  • Collections
  • Cash Applications
  • Purchase Order (PO) Entry
• Experience with SAP Business One required.
• Month-end close experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production, assembly, warehouse, or inventory environment.
• Experience with receiving, picking, cycle counting, and shipping inventory.
• Experience operating powered industrial trucks or warehouse equipment.
• Physical ability to lift and move inventory items when necessary.
