? About the Role

We’re looking for a dependable, safety-conscious Dock Operator to join our team in Mechanicsville, VA! If you enjoy hands-on work, operating heavy equipment, and being part of a fast-paced logistics environment, this opportunity is for you.

?? Key Responsibilities

? Safely operate heavy equipment including cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other lifting devices to load, unload, and move cargo.

? Plan and execute lifts using load charts and calculations to ensure proper weight distribution and secure cargo handling.

? Perform daily inspections and safety checks on cranes, lifting equipment, and related gear.

? Report equipment defects, malfunctions, or maintenance concerns promptly.

? Follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety regulations at all times.

? Use proper radio communication and hand signals to coordinate with ground crews.

? Secure cargo with straps, chains, and other tie-down devices to prevent shifting during transport.

? Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free dock and loading areas.

? Complete documentation related to loads, equipment status, incidents, and maintenance activities.

? Respond appropriately during emergency situations to support safe and continuous operations.

?? Qualifications

? Previous experience operating heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, or similar machinery preferred.

? Strong commitment to workplace safety.

? Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

? Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

? Ability to lift, move, and secure heavy materials as needed.

? Comfortable working outdoors and around industrial equipment.

? Team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
