Job Opening: Production Lead

We are seeking a Production Lead to oversee daily operations in a refrigerated food-processing facility that serves the retail and food-service industry.

• Pay: $24/hr
• Location: Des Moines
• Schedule: 7:00 AM start time
• Days Off: Sunday & Wednesday 

Key Responsibilities

• Line setup — Prepare production lines for efficient operation, assign workstations, and train staff.
• Sanitation oversight — Ensure equipment and production areas are cleaned during breaks, product changes, and shutdowns.
• Safety compliance — Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
• Food processing — Work alongside the team in chopping, slicing, weighing, and packaging food items.
• Quality monitoring — Check products for freshness, color, shape, temperature, and size specifications.
• Inventory accuracy — Use technology to track inventory and document production processes.
• Problem solving — Address issues quickly and communicate discrepancies to supervisors.
• Team leadership

Qualifications

• Ability to store, label, and date incoming food products for maximum shelf life.
• Comfortable using technology for documentation and inventory tracking.
• Able to work independently and lead a team effectively.
• Experience in food production or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (34–37°F).
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs frequently.
