Job Opening: Production Janitor

Production Janitor – Des Moines, WA

We are seeking dependable Production Janitors to support general housekeeping and sanitation in a refrigerated food-processing facility.

• Pay: $19/hr
• Schedule: Morning shift, 7:00 AM start (flexible end time; shifts vary 8–10 hours)
• Days Off: Wednesday & Sunday

Essential Duties

• Floor sweeping
• Debris cleanup
• Water removal — Clean standing water using squeegee or floor scrubbing machine
• Box breakdown — Break down boxes and manage recycling
• Restroom & lunchroom cleaning — Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and lunchroom throughout the shift
• Trash removal — Empty trash receptacles regularly
• Pest control awareness — Monitor for pest issues and report concerns
• Inspection logs — Complete daily SQF inspection log accurately
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Food manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to work with industrial chemicals and cleaning products while following PPE requirements
• Good communication skills — able to report issues to supervisors
• Flexibility with work schedule (shifts may vary 8–10 hours)
• English proficiency — able to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively
• Ability to work in a 36°F refrigerated environment
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs frequently
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
