Schedule: Multiple shift options available!

Monday – Thursday (4 x 10-hour Schedule)

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Night Shift: 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM

Friday – Sunday (3 x 12-hour Schedule)

• Day Shift: 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Night Shift: 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM

Choose from several schedule options, including 4-day and 3-day workweeks. Weekend-only schedules are available.

Position Summary

The Seasonal Sort Center Operations Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the real-time flow of freight within a high-volume sortation environment. This role helps ensure freight moves efficiently through inbound, sortation, and outbound operations by tracking performance, resolving operational issues, coordinating resources, and supporting on-time departures.

This position focuses on operational execution, freight flow management, and service performance rather than direct employee supervision.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate freight flow across inbound, sortation, and outbound operations.
• Track throughput, backlog, trailer status, and on-time departure performance.
• Identify and address bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and service risks in real time.
• Coordinate operational adjustments to maintain productivity and service levels.
• Support adherence to operational plans, procedures, and performance standards.
• Communicate effectively with operations teams and leadership to ensure execution alignment.
• Assist with issue resolution by coordinating with maintenance, IT, engineering, and support teams as needed.
• Monitor key performance metrics and maintain accurate operational records.
• Promote compliance with safety, quality, and operational requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, service, and operational flow.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, distribution, transportation, sort center, hub, or cross-dock operations.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Ability to coordinate operational activities and influence outcomes across multiple teams.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sort center, parcel, hub, cross-dock, or transportation operations.
• Familiarity with WMS, TMS, or other logistics systems.
• Experience with operational reporting and KPI tracking.
• Exposure to Lean, continuous improvement, or process optimization initiatives.
