Description
we are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Warehouse Machine Operator & Printing Finisher to set up, operate, and maintain printing, mailing, bindery, and finishing equipment. This is a hands-on production role in a cross-training environment where shop employees are encouraged to learn multiple machines and processes. Prior print shop or mail house experience is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, pays close attention to detail, solves problems, and is comfortable working overtime during seasonal busy periods.Key Responsibilities· Set up and operate printing, mailing, bindery, and finishing equipment, including folders, inserters, inkjet imagers, cutters, booklet-making equipment, laminating/coating equipment, polybaggers, and related production machinery.· Perform mechanical adjustments and Windows PC-based job setup as required.· Load and unload printed materials; monitor production to identify jams, defects, misfeeds, or other malfunctions.· Complete jobs accurately and efficiently according to work orders, samples, counts, quality standards, and deadlines.· Troubleshoot equipment problems and develop practical solutions using available resources.· Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs; report larger equipment issues promptly.· Inspect finished work for print quality, folds, cuts, binding, addressing, sequence, quantity, and overall accuracy.
• Previous experience in a commercial printing or machine-operation environment preferred.,• Strong mechanical aptitude; • Ability to read work orders, measurements, job specifications, counts, and small print accurately.
