ProLogistix is seeking an International Freight Forwarder (Air) to join our 3PL facility in Sumner, WA.
Monday – Friday | 8:00am-5:00pm | $28-$32 DOE | Temp-to-hire Opportunity
The International Freight Forwarder is a logistics professional who uses their knowledge of transportation (Air/Ocean) tactics and organizational skills to coordinate the movement of goods from manufacturers to retail locations, company storage facilities or directly to customers.
Your Responsibilities:
Freight forwarders have a variety of responsibilities to ensure the efficient transportation of goods.
- Work closely with shippers, manufacturers, and corporations to devise a plan for transporting goods from one destination to another.
- Negotiate with shippers to determine freight pricing.
- Research and obtain insurance to protect goods should they get lost or damaged during the transportation process.
- Connect with warehouse facilities to create more options for freight storage at varying points during the transportation process.
- Prepare documentation to ensure goods can be transported both at the national and international levels.
- Use knowledge of technology to purchase and coordinate transportation procedures via advanced IT software programs.

Requirements/Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable in 3PL’s (5+ years’ experience)
- Freight forwarding (5 years’ experience)
- International experience (Air)
- Extensive knowledge of import/export regulations.
- Proficiently in logistics software and systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and environments.
