Reach Truck Operator

 

Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

$19.50 per hour

 

Summary

 

We are seeking an experienced Reach Truck Operator to support warehouse operations by safely loading, unloading, storing, and retrieving products and materials. This position is responsible for operating powered industrial equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.

 

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and experienced in operating reach trucks and other material handling equipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

• Safely operate a reach truck and other material handling equipment

• Load, unload, move, and stack products throughout the warehouse

• Stage materials in designated storage and shipping areas

• Pick, wrap, count, weigh, inventory, and tag products as required

• Load outbound freight and receive inbound shipments

• Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and transactions

• Scan and verify products accurately using warehouse technology

• Inspect material handling equipment daily and report concerns

• Perform basic equipment maintenance and safety checks

• Inspect trailers before loading and unloading freight

• Maintain accurate inventory and warehouse documentation

• Keep warehouse work areas clean, organized, and safe

• Assist team members with warehouse tasks and projects as needed

• Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and quality standards

• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to support warehouse efficiency

 

Job Requirements

 

• Previous reach truck experience required

• Material handling certification preferred

• Minimum one year of warehouse experience preferred

• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control

• Experience using warehouse management systems

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Basic math and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent attendance and punctuality

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

 

Physical Requirements

 

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 pounds

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crouch, climb, and reach throughout the shift

• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently

• Strong hand-eye coordination and depth perception

• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions

• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
