Shipping Clerk

Location: Torrance, CA
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Shipping Clerk to support shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations in Torrance, CA. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of relevant warehouse/shipping experience, strong attention to detail, and experience working with shipping documentation and warehouse systems.

This position requires someone who can work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accurate inventory and shipping records.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pick release, replenishment, storage, and other material-handling activities.
• Verify location numbers, product labels, quantities, and shipping information for accuracy.
• Consolidate and pack orders according to shipping requirements.
• Complete transactions and data entry using Oracle Telnet.
• Manifest shipments and prepare freight for LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) shipping.
• Create and verify Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other required shipping documentation.
• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, stage, load, and store materials.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure products and shipments meet established requirements.
• Identify and report damaged, defective, or incorrect materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records.
• Follow established safety procedures and warehouse policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Assist with additional warehouse and shipping duties as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of shipping, warehouse, logistics, or related experience.
• Experience with shipping, packing, manifesting, and Bills of Lading preferred.
• Experience with Oracle Telnet or a similar warehouse/inventory management system preferred.
• Forklift and pallet jack experience required.
• Ability to accurately verify labels, quantities, locations, and shipping documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and quality standards.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
