Inventory Control Specialist / Cycle Counter

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule:

• Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist/Cycle Counter to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counting, inventory audits, reporting, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse inventory processes, warehouse management systems (WMS), and operating material handling equipment, including order picker forklifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts.
• Update and maintain inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Monitor inventory transactions and identify potential issues.
• Operate an order picker forklift and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to improve inventory control processes.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
• Assist with physical inventory counts as required.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in warehouse operations, cycle counting, and/or inventory control.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating an order picker and reach forklift.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Solid mathematical and analytical skills.
• Experience operating material handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery.
