Material Handler – Temp to Hire

Location: Kansas City, MO

Schedule: 7:00AM – 3:30 PM

Compensation: $17.50

attendance and performance bonuses available upon full-time conversion

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join our logistics team. Under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor, this role is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. This is a temp-to-hire position with strong long-term opportunities. Once hired full-time, employees become eligible for attendance and performance bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations: Perform loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
Performance Standards: Complete daily tasks within established performance measurement guidelines
Order Accuracy: Pick, pack, audit, stage products, and load/unload trucks with a high level of accuracy
Documentation: Handle daily warehouse paperwork including picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, and related documents
Technical Support: Provide basic technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours

Additional Responsibilities

Maintain basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) when applicable
Follow all contract performance guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Previous warehouse, material handling, or logistics experience preferred
Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training available)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer and documentation skills
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
