Job Title: Package Sorter (Peak Season Seasonal)

Location: Kansas City, MO near KCI Airport

Shift Availability: All shifts available (Day, Afternoon, Nights)

Pay: $18-20/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Package Sorting Associate to join our international logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling, sorting, and processing incoming international shipments arriving from global ports and terminals. You will play a vital role in ensuring that packages are accurately routed and ready for domestic

distribution, and help maintain its commitment to speed and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort incoming packages based on zip codes, routing labels, and destination zones.
• Unload international shipments arriving directly from maritime ports, air terminals, and freight containers.
• Scan barcodes using handheld RF scanners to update tracking systems in real time.
• Inspect packages for damage, labeling accuracy, and compliance with shipping standards.
• Load sorted cargo onto trailers, conveyor belts, or pallets for onward transit.
• Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to strict facility safety and organization guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

• TSA Application Approval: Due to the nature of handling international cargo arriving from ports and terminals, all candidates must submit a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) application and pass a security threat assessment before their official start date.
  • This will be done at the office during interview
• Stand, walk, bend, and lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
• Attention to detail to ensure high accuracy when reading routing labels and codes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet time-sensitive distribution deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate successfully with warehouse team members.
• High School Diploma or equivalent credential is preferred but not required.
