Job Opening: Furniture Mover
Description
- Load and unload furniture, appliances, office equipment, and other items onto moving trucks.
- Wrap, pad, and secure furniture to prevent damage during transport.
- Safely transport items between locations following company procedures and traffic laws.
- Assemble and disassemble furniture as needed.
- Move items through homes, offices, warehouses, and other facilities without causing property damage.
- Operate dollies, hand trucks, lifting straps, and other moving equipment.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Obtain customer signatures and complete required paperwork accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including company vehicles.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Report damaged items, safety concerns, or incidents promptly to management.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and climb stairs throughout the workday.
- Perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects on a regular basis.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
