Lift Operator – Job Description

As a Lift Operator, you will safely move, stage, and organize large furniture products using powered industrial equipment. This role requires strong attention to safety, precision handling, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
• Load and unload trucks containing large and heavy furniture items
• Transport, stack, and stage inventory in designated warehouse locations
• Inspect products for damage or defects before movement
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
• Follow inventory placement guidelines and warehouse safety standards
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members

Skills & Experience

• Previous lift-operating experience required (furniture handling preferred)
• Ability to maneuver bulky or irregularly shaped items
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures
• Experience with RF scanners or inventory systems preferred

Warehouse Clerk – Data Entry

Position Summary

The Warehouse Clerk (Data Entry) is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, entering shipment and order information into warehouse systems, and supporting daily warehouse operations. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with both data and physical inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and update inventory data in the warehouse management system (WMS)
• Process incoming and outgoing shipment documentation
• Verify accuracy of order details, quantities, and product codes
• Perform data audits to ensure records match physical inventory
• Assist with receiving, picking, packing, and labeling as needed
• Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
• Communicate discrepancies or inventory issues to supervisors
• Generate reports for inventory, shipments, and stock levels
• Support cycle counts and full inventory audits
• Follow warehouse safety and operational procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in data entry, inventory control, or warehouse operations preferred
• Strong typing skills and accuracy in data entry
• Familiarity with WMS, ERP systems, or basic computer applications (Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal errors
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift items within company-specified weight limits

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse
• Ability to lift, carry, or move materials as needed

Preferred Skills

• Experience with barcode scanners or handheld inventory devices
• Knowledge of shipping software (UPS, FedEx, DHL)
• Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory flow
