General Laborer Responsibilities:

• Examine produce to identify any defects, damage, or imperfections and sort by grade. 
• Efficiently package vegetables according to established orders, ensuring freshness and proper containment. 
• Accurately weigh packaged produce and apply labels with product information, weight, and other necessary data. 
• Monitor product quality and freshness, identifying and reporting any damaged, rotten, or outdated items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by performing general cleaning duties.
• Maintain inventory logs and report any discrepancies, defective products, or questionable conditions to management. 
• Follow all prescribed food safety, health, and safety regulations and company procedures.

• Physical ability to complete job duties which may include standing for long periods of time.
• Lifting objects with an established maximum weight
• Ability to follow directions

Schedule- Monday- Friday, Saturday

Starting pay- $12-13 per hour

Quality Control Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating fresh produce to ensure they meet safety and quality standards. 
• Inspect incoming and outgoing produce for quality, ripeness, freshness, and appearance
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure that all produce is stored and handled properly to maintain quality
• Check for signs of spoilage, contamination, or damage
• Record and report inspection results accurately
• Communicate with warehouse supervisors and buyers regarding quality issues or rejections
• Ensure product rotation is followed
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards

Job Requirements:

Quality Control Requirements:

• Previous experience in produce handling or quality control
• Understanding of produce grading standards and shelf life
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
• Ability to multi-task
• Fluent in English and Spanish
