Time: 8am - 5pm

Pay rate: 24-27 depending on experience 

 

The Role

Supports the Director, Operations team, and Procurement team, as a liaison between facility/building/housekeeping vendors. Manages cage inventory, generating purchase orders (PO’s) and ordering of supplies. Supports with Administrative duties as requested by Director, along with managing vendor invoicing, billing processes, discrepancies, and reconciling PO’s. Cross trains in other departments and provides support when needed. Maintains excellent service standards to other departments within the organization. Ensures mail and general DC correspondence are responded to daily. Creates and tracks facilities inventory and may support with procurement reports as needed.

  • Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities
  • Highly motivated, a team player and motivated self-starte Experience using a WMS (Warehouse Management System) or an Oracle WMS is a plus
  • Must be able to use calculations such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages as well as know basic algebra.
  • Knowledge of warehouse related software.

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

  • Proficient understanding of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Perform regular department walkthroughs to ensure familiarization with supplies.

  • Executes the Distribution Center’s indirect purchasing arrangements in accordance with company Procurement Policy and manages the end-to-end process of supplies/services management, including RFP processes, vendor selection, contract negotiation, vendor management, purchasing and PO management,
  • quality and pricing management, availability and capacity management, and logistics coordination.
  • Manages the Distribution Purchasing function, including recruiting, selection, development, and performance of an effective team.  Provides leadership, coaching and development to associates.
  • Maintains a strong professional relationship between suppliers and the company. Communicates with suppliers concerning all aspects of the partnership. Identifies new suppliers in coordination with other distribution departments to support existing operations, future growth and to manage risk. 
  • Leads or supports cross-functional projects with other departments related to product specifications, quality verification, sourcing and testing of new products, etc. This includes projects within the 4 walls of the DC, as well as external projects supporting Deckers Retail and Canada partners.
  • Tracks and analyzes key performance metrics and commodities markets on prices and supply and determines strategy and direction for optimal procurement program.  Informs leadership on industry insights. Perform analysis to support key decisions such as lease vs. buy, min/max supply inventory levels, bulk purchasing, etc.

Job Requirements:

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 4+ years’ experience
  • Supporting finance function preferred
  • Certified Administration Professional or equivalent (or other relevant Certifications) preferred

$105,000 - $110,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Moreno Valley, CA distribution center. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.  Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings

• Highly motivated, a team player and motivated self-starter

• Conversational Spanish skills a plus

• Experience in using Microsoft Outlook and Word programs

• Multi-task in a fast-paced work environment that has a strong customer focus.

• Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with co-workers and managers in a cooperative  constructive manner.

• Ability to work with high and low voltage, AC and DC

• Proven track record of strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting

• Knowledge of Automatic Identification systems (Laser Scanning Devices).

• Demonstrated ability to expedite several projects simultaneously

• Develop and implement innovative ideas to increase productivity and/or reliability

• Enter data in the computerized maintenance management system

  • Under minimal supervision perform skilled and semi-skilled facility maintenance activities including patching and painting walls, patching floors, replacing lights, repair racking, office furniture moves and setups and other facilities related tasks.
  • Under minimal supervision perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities to include troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on conveyor equipment.
  • Document all work order activities including labor, parts and inventory used and closing of work orders to provide documented records of the maintenance performed
  • Follow lockout-tag out procedures, confined space procedures and other safety and environmental procedures and policies as required.
