Production Batcher

Summary Description:
Handles ingredients, maintains filters, and prepares product for bottling by mixing ingredients according to Q.C. procedures. Supplies the production line with the blended product in a timely manner, and helps to attain maximum product recovery.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm

Responsible for complying with food safety, food security, Quality, GMP's, HAACP, Allergen, and Sensitizers as well as other regulations as required.

Job Description:

• Will be certified in the operations of all blending equipment in his or her area of responsibility.
• Monitors and incorporates push outs and Dump to Bulk (DTB) back into system
• Hooks up hoses, pumps and lines for bulk concentrate or juice and transfers from the proper silo storage tank.
• Maintains, builds and starts up, filter(s) and opens drums.
• Inspects, monitors and maintains filter blankets; inspects daily for holes or damage; washes new blankets as needed.
• Programs touch screen for product delivery from silo room to blend tanks.
• Follows instructions on blending sheets, adds the proper ingredients, and records amounts correctly.
• Obtains blend tank samples and takes to the quality laboratory for testing.
• Follows instructions from the quality department on any blending adjustments necessary to bring product into specification.
• Completes all required documentation for blending operation and forwards to QA/Blending department for review.
• Responsible for CIP sanitation of all blending lines, tanks and equipment.
• Removes empty barrels and bins from batching area to outside storage area and trailers.
• Receives and unloads tankers of bulk concentrates as needed.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Experience in a fast moving packaged goods environment, beverage production experience preferred
• Formal training in areas such as WHIMIS, HACCP, Hygiene etc. preferred
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• Able to perform duties within a high stress/pressure environment Have a sound general knowledge of mathematical skills, i.e. measurements/formulas
• Steel toe and slip resistant shoes

Quality Assurance Specialist (Temporary)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or International equivalent, (Associate /degree-Science or QA Experience Preferred).
• 3+ years' office/warehouse support experience
• Strong analytical, oral/written communication, problem solving, basic research, and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
• Accurate and rapid data entry

Schedule: Monday-Friday 3pm - 11:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance Selects, identifies, verifies, packages, labels, and places product(s) into shipping container(s) and/or ships (loads) product(s) as required.
• Details actual tasks vs. expected tasks thru the comparison of picking and/or packing lists to customer documents.
• Recounts product before shipment to ensure accuracy.
• Labels and addresses product as required.
• Ensures product(s) meet(s) all requirements before packing and shipping.
• Handles all products according to customer and employer procedures.
• Communicates effectively with leadership and co-workers
