ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must be open to general labor as position will consist of Forklift and General labor

• Forklifts available: Order Picker, Reach, Turret, and EPJ 

• Assists the supervisor in prioritizing small orders to be picked and packed

• Coordinates that packed and packed orders are shipped in a timely manner or sends the manifest to the shipping department to call for the routing, cancel and adjust product that is not available

• Makes sure all trailers are closed at the end of the day

• Assists the supervisor in gathering and tracking daily employee hours for Clipper ship area including any Value Added Services for the weekly hours report sent to the Operations Manager

• Process “specialty” order shipments (domestic and international shipments sent via UPS, RPS, FedEx ground, FedEx overnight, red label orders) using the Clipper ship system or hand writing international shipments

• Determines method of shipment based on instructions on Pick Ticket

• Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons and assures special shipping instructions are followed

• Monitors inventory levels of shipping supplies, materials & notifies manager before running out

• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications

• Assures proper documentation (e.g. commercial invoices) is included for international shipment

Job Function: Warehouse leads are responsible for the operation and supervision of all warehouse activities. They ensure all employees and activities are operating within designated safety standards

Job Duties:

• Delivering, processing, and packaging merchandise for shipment; and assisting with any security measures necessary.
• Responsible for communication among various personnel, departments, and vendors, helping resolve problems and questions in a timely manner Checking in-bound and out-bound freight for 100% accuracy
• Forklift Operator/Working Lead Temp to Hire Start as a lift truck operator, learning the warehouse and WMS system and RF. Will operate a sit down lift and single EPJ, and Reach
• Training new employees on practices and procedures
• Ensure compliance for housekeeping and stock keeping. Prevention of damage to customer products, space utilization, report areas where improvement is necessary
• Ensure products are stored properly in bays in straight stacks, not along or in aisles ways. Supervise the cleaning of warehouse restrooms and break areas
• Ensure warehouse is secure and property is protected. All emergency exits should be unobstructed and secure
• Monthly safety meeting attendance is required along with inspections and improvement suggestions for correcting safety hazards
• Make recommendations to Facility Manager with regards to facility operations

Material Handling

  Must have production material handling / line support background.

• Candidate will be supporting multiple production lines with materials pulled from warehouse locations working from production pull sheets. Each production line may need up to 30 plus items each supplied throughout the shift, Products are batch code and expiration date specific.

• Accuracy is paramount in this role. RF scanner experience is also a must.

• Candidate will be trained to the specifics of the role.

• Shipping / Loading

•  Candidates must have experience loading trailers in a fast-paced environment while focusing on safety.

• Working from load sheets to pull product from locations through the warehouse.

• Products are specifically labeled for each customer by item number.

• Candidate will need to have RF scanner experience to scan pallets onto a load, verifying correct product and pallets have been scanned.
