GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting daily inventory activities within the warehouse. This role ensures that products are properly received, stored, tracked, and reported through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and audits. The Inventory Control Specialist works closely with warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy that supports client and operational requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Performs daily cycle counts, location audits, and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy.

Investigates inventory variances by reviewing transactions, researching discrepancies, and reporting findings.

Assists in processing adjustments in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) under supervisor direction.

Supports inbound and outbound processes by verifying receipts, put-away, replenishment, and picks.

Ensures inventory transactions are documented accurately and in compliance with SOPs.

Prepares reports and communicates inventory status, shortages, or overages to supervisors and operations.

Participates in client, internal, and external audits by providing records and supporting documentation.

Assists in implementing process improvements and maintaining quality standards.

Follows all safety, security, and compliance requirements.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

Basic to intermediate knowledge of inventory control practices and warehouse processes.
