Associate will be responsible for regularly counting a portion of inventory to ensure accuracy by physically verifying the quantity of stock on hand, identifying discrepancies, and reporting any issues to maintain proper inventory levels within a system; essentially acting as a quality check on the warehouse’s stock data by performing periodic cycle counts throughout designated areas.

Performing scheduled cycle counts: Regularly counting specific inventory items in designated areas according to a predetermined schedule.

Data entry: Recording count results accurately into inventory management systems.

Investigating discrepancies: Researching and analyzing reasons for discrepancies found during counts, such as damaged goods, incorrect location, or system errors.

Reporting discrepancies: Communicating identified inventory discrepancies to supervisors or inventory control specialists.

Root cause analysis: Assisting in identifying the root causes of inventory inaccuracies and proposing solutions to prevent future issues.

Inventory adjustments: Making necessary adjustments to inventory records based on verified discrepancies.

Maintaining inventory accuracy: Following established procedures and best practices to ensure accurate inventory data.
