Job Summary:

Foundry Grinders perform precision smoothing, sharpening, polishing, or grinding on a variety of casted iron products and is responsible for the movement of necessary inventory and parts to and from the grinding area.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Grind, polish, sand and sharpen iron parts to ensure conformance to established customer needs.
2. Operate small electric/air hand tools and belt grinders.
3. Handle assorted raw materials, iron parts, and iron scrap.
4. Maintain work area and production equipment in clean and orderly condition. Follow all safety work rules.
5. Operate safely at all times.

Physical Demands:

Our associates are regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Associates are occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The associate is occasionally required to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. This position is located in an Iron Foundry, so the work environment may be hot or cold depending on external conditions and my be dusty/sandy at times.

ProLogistix is hiring Cherry Picker Operators in Chambersburg, PA

Day Shift: $21/hr

• Sunday-Tuesday 6am to 6pm & Wednesday 12pm to 6am
• Wednesday 12pm to 6pm & Thursday to Saturday 6am to 6pm

Night Shift: $22/hour

• Sunday-Tuesday 6pm to 6am & Wednesday 6pm-12am
• Wednesday 12am-6am & Thursday to Saturday 6pm-6am

Responsibilities:

• Operate Cherry Picker forklift
• Loading and unloading trailers
• Accurate picking and auditing of product
• Staging of products
• Picking sheets/returns
