Job Opening: Direct Hire Positions! Material Handler Needed ASAP

Plastics manufacturing company in Riverport is needing an experienced material handler to join their team!

Shift: Monday- Friday, 7:30am-4pm, overtime as needed

Pay: $19.00- $21.00 based on experience

Material Handlers Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing inventoried materials, picking and staging production from inventory, organizing and retrieving inventory in the warehouse, staging materials for all machines and all production, arrange for finished and unfinished loads to be sampled and tested, determine if finished loads are ready to go out to customers. Work under Production Manager and jointly with all warehouse, quality and lab personnel. Organize and put materials away in the correct areas. Work closely with other team members to ensure all deadlines are met, orders are filled and preparations are made for further production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to stage materials or to be run through production.
• Oversee materials and quality control.
• Learn and know all materials in order to complete tasks correctly and in a timely manner.
• Collects samples of material to be tested, if needed.
• Works beside warehouse and production personnel.
• Communicates efficiently with shipping office and other team members.
• Stages all materials in designated areas– finished and unfinished loads.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
• Knows the ins and outs of materials and production (finished and unfinished).
• Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis, if needed.
• Self motivation in order to complete all tasks.
• Does what needs to be done in order to aid in a smooth operation.

Required:

At least 1 year of sit down forklift

At least 1 year of material handling experience

Experience in a similar environment, working with plastics and molding

Steel toes required

Able to work in a dusty environment with masks provided if needed

Able to work overtime as needed
