Job Opening: Material Handler-Night Dock Auditor

Client in Durham looking for an experienced Auditor for dock area . Shipping & Receiving experience.

6pm to 6am Wednesday through Friday; every other Saturday

 This individual is also responsible for counting and inspecting product and notifying leadership when there are damages or discrepancies.

 Dock Responsibilities

• Verify all pallets on the load
• Verify RF functions are being used to load pallets
• Ensure all pallets for a shipment have been loaded with no pallet left behind
• Return dock loading documentation to shipping clerk
•  Notify supervisor of any discrepancies between dock quantities and quantities on loading documentation
• using a pallet jack to accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands.
• Efficiently and accurately pick products and stage in the appropriate areas.
• Stack, package, band, shrink wrap and label products as determined by client requirements. All picking functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.
• Utilize appropriate documentation to ensure that all products and orders are received, handled and shipped correctly.
• Associates will verify that products and/or orders meet quality standards, including reporting any damages or discrepancies. Associates will stack, package, shrink wrap, and label products.
• All quality control functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures. Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance 

• Attention to detail – to ensure correct shipment documentation and inventory records.

• Organizational skills – to manage and track multiple shipments efficiently.

• Basic computer skills – experience with shipping software, inventory systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

• Communication skills – to coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments.

• Physical stamina – ability to lift heavy packages (often 50 lbs or more) and stand for extended periods.

• Time management – to meet shipping deadlines and prioritize tasks
