Job Title: Sheet Metal Fabricator (Entry Level) – 2nd Shift
Pay Range: $22.00 – $29.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
Job Summary
The Sheet Metal Fabricator (Entry Level) is responsible for fabricating sheet metal parts using a variety of equipment including brakes, lasers, deburring machines, shears, notches, and turret punching machines. This position involves machine setup, operation, and quality inspection to ensure components meet required specifications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform all duties with a strong emphasis on safety.

Operate sheet metal fabrication machines such as brakes, lasers, shears, notches, turret punching machines, and deburring equipment.

Review work orders, prints, and templates; use shop math and calculations as required.

Work from complex drawings and specifications to cut and form pieces to precise dimensions.

Perform work requiring close tolerances, applying knowledge of blank sizes and bend allowances.

Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments to verify part accuracy.

Monitor machines for proper operation and report any malfunctions.

Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.

Collaborate with team members and other departments under close supervision.

Keep work area clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
-
High School Diploma or GED required.

Willingness to attend additional training or schooling as needed.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (or equivalent proficiency to operate in the plant environment).

Proficiency in advanced shop mathematics.

Strong attention to detail, mental alertness, and commitment to safety when operating machinery.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the shift.

Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reaching.

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods throughout the shift.

Good vision, hearing, hand-eye coordination, and dexterity required.

Physical stamina necessary for repetitive and detail-oriented tasks.
Work Environment
-
Exposure to loud noise during most of the shift (hearing protection required and provided).

Work environment subject to temperature fluctuations within the production area, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.

Regular contact with cutting oils, solvents, and other industrial materials.
