Job Opening: Maintenance Technician

Manufacturing Company for Metal Pipes is now hiring a 1st shift Maintenance Technician!

shift: 5am to 2 pm 

Monday to Friday! some weekends as needed.

starting rate: $30 to $34 hour. 

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with building maintenance, lighting, plumbing, and other facility-related tasks as needed.

• Maintaining the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly

• Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof

• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues with production machines, tools, and systems.

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems according to the maintenance schedule. • Respond quickly to machine breakdowns on the production floor to minimize downtime.

• Install, inspect, test, and adjust new machinery and production equipment.

• Use tools, schematics, and manuals to identify faults and execute repairs safely.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, parts used, and machine performance.

• Collaborate with production staff and supervisors to prioritize maintenance tasks.

• Ensure all equipment and systems are compliant with safety regulations and company standards.

• Keep work areas, tools, and maintenance shop clean and organized.

• Assist with building maintenance, lighting, plumbing, and other facility-related tasks as needed. 

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred).

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, pneumatic, and hydraulics.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.

• Familiarity with lockout/tag-out, OSHA standards, and general workplace safety practices.
