Operational Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily import and export activities, ensuring precise documentation, proper classification, and prompt submission to CBP and related agencies.
- Prepare and process customs paperwork such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, EEI filings, ISF, Inbound, Inward cargo, Entry Summaries, and all other documentation.
- Verify all documentation for accuracy, ensuring correct HTS classification, country of origin, terms of sale, declared value, importer, consignee, exporter, and all other relevant details.
- Monitor shipment status to ensure timely customs clearance and delivery, working closely with carriers, warehouses, freight forwarders, MX Customs brokers, and others.
- Proactively communicate with clients, suppliers, and internal departments about shipment status, discrepancies, and resolving issues.
- Review and audit entries to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain organized and complete records of import/export files in accordance with CBP record keeping requirements (CFR 19, Part 163).
- Optimize support system utilization and ensure data accuracy in ABI Systems, ACE, CBP Portal, etc.
- Assist in coordinating corrective actions for discrepancies, holds, or compliance findings.

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customs brokerage, import/export coordination, or trade compliance.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations
- Experience working with CBP, FDA, USDA is preferred
