Job Title: Heavy Lifting Associate
Department: Operations / Warehouse / Logistics (adjust as needed)
Location: Houston – 77028
Pay: $18 an hour
Key Responsibilities
- Lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials, products, or equipment throughout the workday (typically 50–100+ lbs depending on the position).
- Load and unload trucks, pallets, crates, or containers using manual techniques or equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, or forklifts (if certified).
- Move materials to designated storage areas or production lines.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety standards, including the use of PPE and proper lifting techniques.
- Organize, stack, and secure materials to prevent damage or safety risks.
- Assist with inventory counts, material staging, and general shop/warehouse upkeep.
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery as required by the job.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, drivers, warehouse staff, or contractors regarding workflow and needs.
- Report damaged materials, unsafe conditions, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50–100 lbs repeatedly throughout an 8–12 hour shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, or reach continuously.
- Comfortable working in various environments (warehouse, outdoors, hot/cold temps, fast-paced settings).
- Ability to operate material-handling equipment (preferred or required depending on the job).
- Strong understanding of safe lifting and material-handling practices.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, or as part of a team.
