Food Safety Technician
Location: Hardeeville, SC
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (mandatory overtime as needed)
Pay Rate: $21/hr
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and program critical control points (CCP).
• Ensure food safety and quality throughout all stages of production.
• Perform sanitation verification and allergen testing.
• Accurately record and maintain all required logs and documentation.
• Ensure recipes and processing guidelines are followed consistently.
• Ensure employees follow all food safety and workplace safety practices.
• Train and educate staff on food safety protocols and SQF standards.
• Maintain compliance with HACCP, GMP, and SOP requirements.
• Conduct plant food safety audits and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Perform daily product evaluations for quality and consistency.
• Ensure all products meet GFCO (Gluten Free Certification Organization) standards.
Minimum Qualifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Team-oriented with prompt responsiveness.
• Ability to work full shifts, including Saturdays and overtime when needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Desired Qualifications
• 1–2 years of experience in food processing or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SOP
• Ability to monitor CCPs and ensure food safety
• Perform sanitation checks, allergen testing, and documentation
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel
