Forklift Operator (Cherry Picker & Reach Truck)
Job Title: Forklift Operator – Cherry Picker & Reach Truck
Pay rate: $19.00-$20.00
Position Summary: The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating cherry picker and reach truck equipment to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise in a warehouse environment. The operator ensures accurate inventory handling while maintaining productivity, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cherry picker and reach truck forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Pick, pull, and stage customer orders accurately.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage locations.
- Move products to designated warehouse locations.
- Perform inventory transactions using RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Conduct daily per-shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
- Follow all OSHA, company safety regulations, and warehouse procedures.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Meet productivity and performance goals while maintaining accuracy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience operating cherry picker and reach truck forklifts.
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working at elevated heights while operating a cherry picker.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
