Forklift Operator (Cherry Picker & Reach Truck) 

Job Title: Forklift Operator – Cherry Picker & Reach Truck

Pay rate: $19.00-$20.00

Position Summary: The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating cherry picker and reach truck equipment to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise in a warehouse environment. The operator ensures accurate inventory handling while maintaining productivity, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate cherry picker and reach truck forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Pick, pull, and stage customer orders accurately.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and storage locations.
• Move products to designated warehouse locations.
• Perform inventory transactions using RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Conduct daily per-shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
• Follow all OSHA, company safety regulations, and warehouse procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Meet productivity and performance goals while maintaining accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience operating cherry picker and reach truck forklifts.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working at elevated heights while operating a cherry picker.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
