Job Responsibilities:

The Logistics Coordinator works closely with Sales, Purchasing, Planning and Warehouse Operations to ensure that all materials are being received and shipped correctly. This position is responsible for Imports and Exports along with Domestic transportation requirements as well. Essential Functions are: 

  • Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another.
  • Manages activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met. 
  • Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible
  •  Arrange transportation and orchestrate deliveries to meet production demand with little to no delay.
  • Oversee the daily operations of customs brokers, carriers, and freight forwarders
  • Coordinate international shipments; prepare and review necessary documentation and custom forms for the efficient and lawful execution of import/export activities
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external customers on import and export compliance matters • Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) coordinator
  • Maintain a working knowledge on changes in import and export laws and regulations Secondary Functions
  • Process Consignment orders as needed. Position Specifications • Problem-solving skills, Decision making ability, Organizational skills, Procedural mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize, Attention to detail, Ability to analyze data and understand connections.
  • Talent for recognizing the opportunities for process improvement in those connections.
  • Familiarity with INCOTERMS
  •  Excellent knowledge and 3+ years of practical experience in: product classification according to US import/export laws and regulations including but not limited to the U.S. Customs regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS); international shipping documents (commercial invoice, packing lists, house.

  • Preparation of all shipping documentation.
  • Review all orders to determine if they were picked correctly.
  • Examine and inspect boxes, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met.
  • Maintain clean work areas and equipment and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Must have at least 6 months of experience in warehouse environment using an RF scan gun.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and noisy environment.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive movements.
  • Must possess a sense of organization and be able to work on a set schedule.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Attention to detail is required.
