Mechanic or Mechanic Helper needed in South Houston

As a Mechanic you will be working on hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, and power units. Mechanics with 3 or more years’ experience is a plus in hydraulics. All types mechanical experience is accepted, will train in hydraulics.

Mechanic tools required, 1/4″ and up socket and hand wrenches (along with a list of required tools), Capability of lifting 50 to 75 lbs.

Job Description:

Supervise and manage the labor and equipment of the Pick/Ship operation in conjunction with the control tower guidance and direction. Work closely with all departments to ensure on-time completion and maintain quality of orders to meet customer requirements. Work with the staffing agencies to ensure proper start-up and time is keeping is adhered too. Work with control tower on labor management and priority of orders.

Overall Responsibilities:

•   Hire and ensure proper training of new employees for picking and shipping departments •   Performance management of all employees •   Document, update and ensure procedures and quality processes are followed •   Maintain supplies and equipment levels for the department •   Monitor order picking for shipment availability in WMS as it relates to the control tower •   Contact control tower on possible delays of orders •   Investigate and respond to any inquiries as needed by control tower •   Monitor and adhere to customer requests and vendor specific shipping requirements •   Maintain conveyors continued flow of product to designated areas •   Update and maintain Kronos and Metrics in excel, as it relates to WMS reporting •   Monitor picking and shipping functions on the floor •   Ensure that shift end specific procedures with all shipping systems are completed and floor end of shift close out are followed
