Machine Operator- Ashland, VA

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Feeding fiberglass insulation into machines according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Set up machines with the appropriate materials and settings for each job.
• Monitor manufacturing process to ensure proper adhesion and smooth operation.
• Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product quality and meet production deadlines.
• Inspect completed products for defects and take corrective action as necessary.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Operates material handling equipment to move product. Follows specific instructions and completes daily tasks froms. Completes preventive maintenance check list on a daily basis. Verifies the accuracy of product and product count. Utilizes RF scan gun. Communicates issues to manager quickly and eloquently.

Shift Available: 6:30p – 5:00am Monday – Friday

Pay: $18.00 hourly

Job Requirements:

• 3 months recent experience working in a distribution center or warehouse a plus
• Able to work 8, 10 or 12 hours shifts
• Able to carry, twist, push, pull products and lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to stand, walk and bend for the entire shift
• Experience working with technology – RF scanners, warehouse computers a plus
• Able to follow written and verbal work instructions
• Able to count accurately

JOB DESCRIPTION

PFS sells and services commercial printing equipment in the western United States.  We are looking for a motivated individual who will take a pivotal role in our financial operations, focusing on purchasing, accounts payable, processing sales orders, invoicing and general sales support.  Ideally, he/she will have some ERP experience (PFS uses Sage), familiarity with excel and working knowledge of procurement and invoicing. 

The position requires a detail oriented person who is comfortable juggle multiple priorities.  Strong writing and communication skills are also welcome.
