Tasks:

• Will provide on the job training for all new hires
• Take all new hires on tours of facility
• Review all department specific safety policies and procedures
• Complete required new hire training within first two weeks of new hires start date
• Provide feedback on areas to be focused on during new hire classes
• Document completed trainings and provide status updates of outstanding trainings
• Complete formal observations with associates on quality and completion of work
• Support supervisors, managers and directors on special projects or reporting as required
• Cross train in all distribution center functions in effort to provide appropriate training and coaching

Now Hiring for Material Handlers

ProLogistix is looking for Material Handlers with previous Forklift Experience. This is a temp to hire position with a manufacturing company in NE Columbia.

Job duties include but not limited to:

• Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.
• Move controls to drive vehicles and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
• Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts and hoists, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
• Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids and boxes and secure materials or products for transport to designated areas.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Attention to detail, team player and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use all power tools required to perform position.
• Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions related to repairs, ask follow-up questions and communicate clearly any obstacles with meeting deadlines and/or standards.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Standing, bending, stooping, and climbing continuously
• Ability to speak and read/write English fluently

Shifts: 

2nd Shift: $18.50/hour
