Shift: 

  • 1st shift Monday through Friday, 10pm  to 6:30am
  • 1st shift - $19 an hour (ability to earn more throughout shift)

Primary Purpose: The Production Apprentice efficiently performs repetitive manufacturing duties associated with the fabrication of sails in Gantry, Films, 3DI or other Production Departments. Under the general supervision of the shift Foreman or the Department Supervisor, this position will help the production team be more efficient during the manufacturing processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Accurately perform basic assembly and subassembly tasks to produce materials required to successfully manufacture a final product. • Reliably and safely perform basic machinery / equipment operations used during the sail building process. • Adhere to all operating procedures, quality standards and company polices. • Perform basic production task, needed to help maximize production efficiency. • Stock supply shelves and retrieve supplies as needed. • Conduct basic computer functions. • Collect /empty trash and carry out various other housekeeping duties. • Load/Unload production trucks. • Perform related duties or responsibilities, as assigned.

In this role involves booking loads with brokers and negotiating rates for TL/LTL shipments, dispatching drivers, planning how loads are arranged and consolidated in trucks, and working closely with drivers to ensure on-time delivery.

Salary and Shift Information:

  • Pay: $30-$35/hour
  • 1st shift: 7 AM-4 PM; Monday-Friday (Be on call after hours one week per month; for this work, earn an additional $100 stipend)
