Primary Purpose: The Production Apprentice efficiently performs repetitive manufacturing duties associated with the fabrication of sails in Gantry, Films, 3DI or other Production Departments. Under the general supervision of the shift Foreman or the Department Supervisor, this position will help the production team be more efficient during the manufacturing processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Accurately perform basic assembly and subassembly tasks to produce materials required to successfully manufacture a final product. • Reliably and safely perform basic machinery / equipment operations used during the sail building process. • Adhere to all operating procedures, quality standards and company polices. • Perform basic production task, needed to help maximize production efficiency. • Stock supply shelves and retrieve supplies as needed. • Conduct basic computer functions. • Collect /empty trash and carry out various other housekeeping duties. • Load/Unload production trucks. • Perform related duties or responsibilities, as assigned.

In this role involves booking loads with brokers and negotiating rates for TL/LTL shipments, dispatching drivers, planning how loads are arranged and consolidated in trucks, and working closely with drivers to ensure on-time delivery.

• Update customers to address issues and delays that occur
• Reduce the amount of time or distance a truck travels empty without carrying a load
• Ensure tractor revenue per mile stays at the required level to generate revenue
• Ensure all shipping and receiving location details provided by customers and brokers are correct
• Keep records of freight rates, lane history, and other metrics for continuous improvement
• Dispatch drivers with their route plans
• Help drivers with dispatch issues, routing, trip planning, and handle emergency calls that arise during transit
• Work with each department to ensure all safety and maintenance can be performed

ProLogistix is currently seeking Production Operators to join the Reno, Nevada manufacturing location. This role is safety sensitive and works a rotating 12-hour shift (including weekends and holidays). Starting rate is $23.70 an hour, Night Shift Differential is $2.50/hour.
