 Responsible for accurate receiving, storing and preparing and shipping orders of product Knows their responsibility in a contingency plan or crisis situation. Must be able to work the shift pattern as required by your branch. Provide support to customers to ensure efficient daily operation of all distribution accounts.

 

Responsibilities:     Inbound Freight:Counts all products, compares to manifest and checks all shipments for damage, infestation and production code dates. Reports shortages, damages and mis-shipments on appropriate forms. Signs for inbound shipments when necessary. If assigned, and you are a qualified forklift driver, unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations.

                                   

                                    Customer Service: Dailyprocess and input of all customer orders and distribution account (s). Provides daily operational reports that are accurate and timely. Runs stock reports to check for product availability. Generates all related paperwork and necessary information required for customer work orders, checks all orders for special requests and post inventory records. Assists others in their duties with all distribution accounts. Performs invoicing through ETMS.  Conducts billings, including associated back-up and documentation. Provides daily operational reports that are accurate and timely. Performs daily data entry for receiving, order allocation, shipping and inventory management. Rates domestic transportation bills.

 

Coordinates special, last minute shipping requests with the Transportation and Operations Departments, expediting any order as necessary. Trace orders as required and notify customers of any activity concerning their order. Ensure proper invoicing of accounts by verifying computer-generated invoices. Maintain damage records and backorder logs. Handle returned merchandise in an efficient manner and ensure proper credit is given to the customer. Inputs all receipts, putaways, moves, picks, shipments and cycle counts.

 

Clerical: Provides support with other miscellaneous projects, filing and research

Oversees all paperwork associated with orders and maintain the corresponding files. Maintains a current and accurate procedures manual that details the processing requirements for each account. Answers phone calls and operate various types of machines and computers necessary to perform duties. Effectively corresponds with customers as required. Provides support with other miscellaneous projects, filing and research.

 

 

                                    Storage: Maximizes space usage. Properly and safely puts away items onto the racks.

 

Order Picking: Ensures that the correct number and type of product is picked. Transports orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment. Stencils, tags or marks orders as required.

 

Outbound Freight: Compares quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct. Accepts signatures for outbound as necessary. Efficiently moves product into outbound delivery vehicles.  

 

Facility / Equipment: Maintains equipment and assigned areas in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. Operates equipment safely and efficiently. Complies with all local, OSHA or Expeditors’ standards.

 

Inventory: Keeps accurate records and reports. Assists in physical inventories and cycle counts. Ensures proper stock rotation. May key inventory adjustments in computer.

 

Other Duties: Repacks or re-boxes cases per customer instructions. Repairs and re-boxes damaged goods as required. Must be forklift certified.
