Job Opening: Shipping Clerk
Description
Resource MFG is currently looking for a skilled shipping clerk in the Burgettstown area;
We are looking for an individual with previous shipping clerk experience and is fluent with computers that is open to learning a new system for a primarily office centered role. The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for verifying, receiving, preparing, and documenting incoming and outgoing shipments. This role supports warehouse operations by ensuring accurate inventory movement, proper documentation, and compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This means daily communication with drivers, managing the driver log and communication with various areas of the warehouse.
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 1pm-11pm
Pay: $21.75hr + $1hr shift differential
Documentation & Inventory Control
- Manage shipping and receiving documentation, including preparation, validation, storage, and retrieval
- Inspect shipments for damage and verify items and quantities against freight bills, purchase orders, and other records
- Document shortages, damages, and discrepancies accurately
- Maintain records of all inbound and outbound inventory using warehouse management and inventory systems
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety regulations
- Ensure the facility remains inspection-ready for SQFI, FDA, and customer audits
- In CGMP environments, monitor inventory control requirements such as FIFO, lot tracking, and age requirements
Additional Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree or two years of equivalent work experience preferred
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
Skills & Requirements
- Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
